WallyLoupe

Say hello to your cantilever!

One of the toughest parts of aligning a cartridge is getting a good view on the cantilever - particularly with some cartridge body designs that "hide" it.

  • 15x & 25x magnification - more than any other in our industry

  • very low viewing angle and long standoff to see under the cartridge body

  • exceptional resolution from glass lenses

From Ken Redmond's WallyLoupe review on Tracking Angle:

"At this point, it’s become a permanent part of my setup process. I don’t mount a cartridge without it, not because I have to, but because I’ve heard what happens when I don’t. It’s one of those tools that quietly changes your standards. Once you’ve seen the stylus and cantilever clearly, once you’ve understood how small misalignments translate into what you hear, it’s hard to go back to doing things that were previously “close enough.”

WOW!! It takes vision to a new level that I wasn’t expecting. The resolution is so good that when setting the zenith and aligning the etchings with the reflections, I have to ‘balance’ the two outer etchings to be equally ‘misaligned’ (both ever so slightly toed in) so the center etching is aligned with the reflection. I had never noticed that before.

Brilliant and great work!

This thing is the FREAKIN’ BOMB. It arrived yesterday, and I had company, but I’ve been playing with it this morning. It is SO AMAZING (especially the 80mm lens for me). As I mentioned, I have no windows down here, and have only artificial lighting, so the super bright, optimized perspective of the WallyLoupe is EXACTLY what I needed!

This may be the most useful and important setup assisting device I’ve met since the creation of the dedicated alignment jig/protractor… OMG, thank you so very much!

The Wally Loupe is fantastic. It makes the job vastly easier. Many thanks for devising this great tool.

I just received my WallyLoupe today - YAY!! The tool itself is a thing of beauty, more solid and substantial than the video presentation suggests.  The design has obviously been well thought out to fit its specialized task.

Thanks so much for continuing to stretch the boundaries of what's possible with vinyl playback !!
